How we choose to define images, the genres in which we place them, influence how we approach them. With this project, I was interested in photographing small-scale elements (even micro-environments) around the house. I choose to place them under the aegis of landscape, which we think of as encompassing the panoramic and majestic (particularly in a Romantic context).
Landscape brings the exterior inside, and reduces it to manageable dimensions. Here, I am exploring the interior, and expanding its scale to reveal elements that are usually hidden.
